The field of art and illustration is often perceived as equivalent to graphic design. However, these two areas are very different from each other. The graphic designers create compositions to communicate and solve problems. The artists and illustrators create original work. Their art takes several forms, whether it be beautiful arts, decoration, or text illustration.
Even if graphic art and illustrations are not technically of the types of graphic design, the two areas are so linked to each other that it is difficult to talk about one without referring to the other .
